Food Monster Escape: Sweet Belly, Bandung

sweet-belly-bandung
こんばんは! This post will be my last #bandungdiary post. It's a dessert house located at Jalan Lombok 53, Bandung: Sweet Belly. Sweet Belly is part of DonWoori, a korean suki restaurant. I wanted to try DonWoori too, but I couldn't stuff my stomach anymore after Mangkok Ayam and Hummingbird Eatery, so I decided to try it another time. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to go there because my internship had finished and I had to go back to Jakarta.

Sweet Belly area is actually very small and it's outdoor. It's allowed to eat inside DonWoori, tho.

I went there with my 2 friends and we ordered one each so we could try each other's. *the perks of not going alone*

Bibingsoo (IDR 38k)
sweet-belly-bandung
I finally tried this! It was like mission accomplished because I've always wanted to try this dessert. This bibingsoo contains ice flakes, fruits slice, nata de coco, taro and sweet potato balls, pat, matcha mochi, and the egg. The egg is actually vanilla ice cream and mango thingy (sorry I don't know what to describe). It popped and the inside is mango juice.

I actually expected it to be bigger portion but turned out it's just perfect for you to eat it by yourself. The vanilla ice cream itself was too sweet for me to handle, but overall I love it. It's better when I ate it with the fruits and other things. It's totally recommended.

Milo Pat Bing Soo (IDR 38k)
sweet-belly-bandung
This one contains matcha mochi, pat (red bean), bubble, almond, ice cream, milo powder, ice flakes, taro and sweet potato balls. I love this kind of dessert because it's not too sweet, thanks to the ice flakes.

Banana Split (IDR 44.5k)
sweet-belly-bandung
This is just the typical banana split: ice cream and banana; with cone as hat, choco flakes, and strawberry. It's so-so, nothing really special on this banana split, to be honest.

I also took a look inside DonWoori, I love the interior so much! It's cute and peaceful. I really wish I could eat here someday.

What to Wear to Outdoor Event // Jakarta Fair 2015

what-to-wear-to-outdoor-event
こんばんは! I finally finished editing the video so I can update you with this post tonight. I went to Jakarta Fair 2015, 4 months ago. Okay, I know it's so late. I still have a lot of posts queuing and I want to publish all of them before 2015 ends, hopefully.
Jakarta Fair is held in Jakarta, to be exact at Kemayoran, every year around June-July. I've post about this last year (click here), and this year I even made a video. Unfortunately I was too lazy taking photos because it's so crowded and hot, my bad.

Still, I somehow managed to take outfit photos there. For an outdoor (and hot) event like this, comfortable is the most important point. This oversized crop tee from H&M is my favorite, it's comfortable and still looks stylish at the same time. I paired it with high waisted shorts and sneakers, as always. I also wear my new french fries socks from H&M. To make my look complete, I brought my denim backpack and snapback for boyish-sporty look.

How to Wear Oversized Denim Shirt

how-to-wear-oversized-denim-shirt
Last Friday I went to Grand Indonesia with my friend. I didn't bring camera with me and I actually didn't plan to take outfit photos, but I thought it'd be a waste because I wore my 'new' favorite denim outerwear. I bought this denim shirt at a traditional market in Pontianak, it has a lot of thrift stores there. I always want to go thrift-hunting and I finally did it on the last week in Pontianak. Guess what, I got this oversized denim shirt for only IDR 40k or around $3 in super good condition. It's my first time thrift-shopping so I didn't really know the price, is it too pricey or already cheap huhu. Anyway, it's a nice catch!

In this post, I wore this oversized denim shirt as outerwear. I actually want to wear it like a dress but somehow it's not oversized enough for my body size, lol. As always, I wore something simple and casual because I had to take bus. I hate going to mall wearing something too plain that's why outerwear always be my favorite. You can wear this kind of outfit to the college, having lunch and watching movie with your friend, or simply to enjoy your time alone. Gonna show you more about this denim shirt on the other post! Oh, I haven't watched Hotel Transylvania yet ;(

Girls Day Out: The Cup, BC's Cone, and Outfit

girls-day-out
Yoo, dreamers! Tonight I'm gonna update you with this girls day out post. We were all take animation as our major in university and we're also often be in one group for assignments thingy. Actually we've planned to go somewhere together for a long time but yeah...things just didn't go as planned, lol. Better be impulsive.
So, we went to the infamous Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area for lunch and dessert. I've never eaten in this area before, this is the first time. For lunch, we chose The Cup. It's korean restaurant and I've always wanted to try the food, I ended up ordering kimchi jjigae tho (like everytime, everywhere).

Kimchi Jjigae (IDR 68k)

This was my kimchi jjigae, it came with rice. The kimchi jjigae itself was just so-so but the rice was sooo good! I'll be back for the rice, lol.

Pork Duruchigi Rice (IDR 68k)
the-cup-PIK
This one was also good, the pork was perfect! I recommend you to try this pork duruchigi rice when you happen to visit The Cup.

Honey Chicken Rice (IDR 55k)
the-cup-PIK
This was my friend's so I just tried a little bit and it's too sweet. It's just not my cup of tea.

Spicy Dakgangjeong (IDR 68k)
the-cup-PIK
No explanation needed. I just love this boneless chicken! Totally drooling over the sweet and spicy taste. This one is also recommended!

----------------------------------------------------------

After had our lunch, we decided to try one of the dessert houses there. There are a lot of cafes with cute and unique concept, so it's hard to choose one. We're confused between Pungopang or BC's Cone, and finally we decided to go to BC's Cone. It was Ticia's treat because she just had her birthday, yeay!
BC's-cone-PIK
I actually love BC's Cone interior with those cute wall illustrations, but the lighting was not really good.
BC's-cone-PIK
The chairs are kawaii!
Artsy Palette (IDR 75k)
BC's-cone-PIK
This artsy palette consists of 6 mini soft cream with different flavor and toppings. We also can choose our favorite flavor of the soft cream and the cone, fyi.

I did try all of the flavor but tbh I don't really remember how was the taste, sorry hahaha. My favorite is the pink x tosca one tho. It's pretty sweet but somehow it just fit my taste bud. One minus point is that they melt too fast (okay, that's soft cream after all, mei). Don't waste too much time for taking photos, dreamers!

Trip to Candyland (IDR 32k)
BC's-cone-PIK
Oho! A word for this one: sweet. We're all too busy taking photo of this and then the cotton candy melted....not so 'cloud' anymore. It consists of soft cream, cotton candy, lollipop, marshmallow, and gummy bear. The price was pretty reasonable.

----------------------------------------------------------

I went to Central Park with Kenezia and I asked her to help me taking outfit photos. I wore a simple outfit because I had to take bus. Anyway, I watched Terminator alone that day (it's my hobby, ups).

how-to-wear-stripes-tee The mickey mouse top was from Uniqlo Japan and it's so comfortable. I wore it with my navy skirt to create a sailor mood and pink sneakers as a pop of color. Decided to bring this Stradivarius sling bag to make this look a little bit more girly. What do you think?
